Key Responsibilities:

  • cleaning, processing, analyzing and exploring various data types

  • analyzing datasets to discover trends and patterns that can be translated into business insights

  • building models predicting future data and analyzing anomalies

  • exploring user behavior to determine their segments

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • exploratory data analysis (EDA): Visualisation and statistical data analysis techniques to understand distributions, patterns, anomalies and relationships in data sets

  • data processing and cleaning: Techniques for removing missing data, dealing with outliers, variable transformation, category coding and feature scaling

  • supervised learning algorithms: Techniques such as linear regression, logistic regression, decision trees, random forests, gradient boosting, support vector machines (SVMs), neural networks

  • unsupervised learning algorithms: Techniques such as cluster analysis (e.g. K-means, DBSCAN), dimension reduction (e.g. PCA, t-SNE), factor analysis, association analysis

  • deep Learning: Techniques concerning the construction and training of deep neural networks, such as convolutional networks (CNNs), recurrent networks (RNNs), autoencoders, GANs

  • feature engineering: Techniques for creating and selecting features that are critical to improving the performance of ML models, including feature selection methods (e.g. LASSO, RFE), creation of new features, feature extraction

  • hyperparameter optimisation: Techniques for tuning hyperparameters of models, such as grid search, random search, Bayesian optimisation

  • model evaluation and metrics: Techniques for evaluating model performance, such as cross-validation, statistical tests, analysis of metrics (e.g. accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, AUC-ROC)

  • visualisation of data and results: Data visualisation techniques such as line charts, bar charts, box plots, heat maps, scatter diagrams, and tools such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly

  • model implementation and deployment: techniques for implementing and deploying models in production, such as serialising models (e.g. pickle, joblib), deploying models using APIs (e.g. Flask, FastAPI), monitoring model performance after deployment

  • proficiency with foundational models and other generative AI techniques.

  • knowledge of programming tools and languages such as Python, SQL, and cloud computing platforms and tools (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
