Your New Role…

This is an amazing opportunity to work for one of the biggest media and entertainment companies in the world . Warner Bros. Discovery is looking for a socially outgoing and digital savvy person to join the Social Media team as a Social Media Specialist in Sweden . As a Social Media Specialist, you’re the owner of and responsible for the local networks accounts and their activities incl. content strategy and publishing on all the Kanal 5 social handles. You align with the sports and streaming social teams, as well as with the marketing team to adapt and localize relevant content from both brands and publish on linear network channels, making sure the content you publish represent the communities we talk to through diversity and inclusion.

This role will oversee the organic social strategy for our linear channels and will plan, manage, create and evaluate social media campaigns across platforms (ideation, production, copy-writing, publishing). The person in this role will foster and maintain relationships with our programming team and various production companies to produce content tailored to social media audiences. The ideal candidate is an internet native who has a pulse on digital trends and has strong editing skills.

Besides having a close collaboration with the Streaming social media team and the Sports team, you also collaborate closely with local departments across the business, e.g. the Programming team to make sure they are updated on the strategy for each title and our PR department to align on best-in-class community management and crisis management.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Managing and owning local Social Media handles (IG, TT, FB, YT). Posting, planning and evaluating the content we post.

  • Overall responsibility for organic content strategy for our local production titles and planning activities across Linear Networks in Sweden to ensure relevant and authentic local presence.

  • Ordering of assets and planning our asset production together with our creative team and social media agencies.

  • Working with talent management to share social best practices and sharing strategies for each title.

  • Ensuring a strong collaboration with the Nordic streaming social and Sports teams to adapt relevant content to be published on the Network channels.

  • Editing videos/photos and creating assets for all social media platforms. Either from content you have captured on set, or from episodes from the show.

  • Reporting on social media performance to various stakeholders within the organization.

  • Identify creative opportunities to leverage talent to create social-forward content that will excite and engage our fans.

  • Executing and planning smaller paid social media campaigns.

  • Monitoring and reporting on audience sentiments and trends.

  • Point of contact for our social media agencies.

Qualifications & Experience…

  • 3+ years’ experience in social media/marketing or similar.

  • Deep knowledge of social media platforms and the unique differences between each.

  • Campaign planning skills.

  • Experience using social media publishing and reporting tools such as Khoros, Hootsuite, Sprinklr or Sprout.

  • Experience working with paid social.

  • Comfortable with editing video and photos in Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Earlier experience in videography and knows how to shoot with a DSLR.

  • Strong skills in creative ideation & copywriting in Swedish.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English. Great communication skills and relationship management.

  • A passion and genuine interest for TV & film.
