Your New Role...
The US Networks Business Affairs department is responsible for the negotiation and oversight of development, production, and acquisition of WBD’s US Networks unscripted content. More specifically, this group structures and negotiates the terms of commission, co-production, acquisition, and talent agreements, and provides advice to the US Networks on production and talent related issues. WBD is seeking a bright, highly motivated individual to join the Business Affairs team.
Your Role Accountabilities…
Negotiate and draft development, production, talent, licensing, partnership, ad sales, marketing, and other miscellaneous content-related deals for various WBD networks.
Collaborate with Legal Affairs to ensure closed deal terms are accurately incorporated into longform agreements and timely executed.
Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including contract request forms, talent deal memos, talent option letters, and other documents related to Business Affairs.
Review agreements and other relevant documents to summarize deal terms and track talent options and deadlines.
Collaborate with key internal stakeholders supporting WBD’s US Networks, including Production Management, Legal Affairs, Ad Sales, finance, Talent Management, Communications, and Marketing to ensure alignment on production timelines and issues, contractual obligations, and business unit needs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including producers, talent, and their respective representatives.
Identify opportunities for process enhancements within the Business Affairs team to improve efficiency and streamline operations.
Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding contract-related inquiries, ensuring clear and timely communication.
Qualifications and Experience...
Minimum of 3 years working in-house in the business affairs or legal department of a cable or broadcast television network or studio, or commensurate experience in the entertainment/media division of a law firm.
Excellent writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills, including clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent business judgment, including the ability to take initiative, make firm decisions, manage projects in a fast-paced environment, and offer a high level of customer service.
Excellent people skills and ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external partners.
Enthusiastic, motivated, and friendly team player who has the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Curiosity and willingness to tackle matters outside areas of expertise.
JD from an ABA-accredited law school preferred.
Must have the legal right to work in the United States

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $83,090.00 - $154,310.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
