Your New Role…

Production HR team is dedicated to providing hands-on HR support to cast and crew working on productions across Warner Bros. Discovery content businesses. The People & Culture Partners on the Production P&C team will work primarily in production environments directly supporting the people that make our content. The goal is t o be a recognisable and trusted HR partner to all personnel working on a Warner Bros. Discovery production. The main objective is to ensure and support a respectful, inclusive, safe and positive work environment, allowing people to thrive and do their best work.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • HR point of contact for UK Film and High-End TV productions cast and crew; serves as on-set/on-site HR presence for productions, both locally and on distant location. Responds to production-related inquiries regarding crew/cast concerns.

  • Guides and coaches production leaders/HODs on how to appropriately manage and resolve complex HR issues including, but not limited to, performance management, conflict management, coaching, development, employee relations, talent and team development, and compliance

  • Proactively manages and prioritizes work on the team to support business needs and HR strategies/objectives

  • Provides advice, coaching, counseling, and training to proactively create/maintain an inclusive, respectful and safe work environment.

  • Develops, delivers and facilitates training for productions on topics related to a respectful and harassment-free work environment.

  • Embodies our culture through behavior and interactions, and champions inclusion and diversity on the set.

  • Conducts surveys to gauge cultural climate and makes recommendations for appropriate action based on findings.

  • Informs the Talent leader and People Partner Lead as appropriate on critical or sensitive business or team/people concerns.

  • Partners with People Relations, and Employment Legal to deliver HR solutions on people related issues.

  • Keeps abreast of HR trends/practices, legislation and requirements to effectively manage and communicate to production workers.

  • Travels to productions on location when needed; last minute travel may be required.

  • Creates presentation decks, charts, graphs, and various materials, as needed.

  • Manages special projects, as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience…

  • Significant experience supporting television and/or film productions and/or media freelance environment with a wide range of HR, critical thinking and business advisory skills.

  • A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence others into action and to think creatively about solutions.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

  • Strong in communicating with all level stakeholders, keen collaborator and builds strong relationships with employees.

  • Good judgment and ability to balance the needs of the company and employees.

  • Exceptional organization and project management skills.

  • Possess and engaging and innovative presentation style when delivering training.

  • Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Sounds knowledge of applicable UK legislation and regulations pertinent to production. populations

  • High ethical standards with demonstrated experience handling highly sensitive information.

  • Passion for this business; driven to accomplish and meet objectives.

  • Ability to travel – 25% of the role.

  • Degree or equivalent qualification or CIPD preferred.

  • Previous experience of working within an American parent company and complex matrix organisation highly advantageous.

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
