Software Engineer II - Frontend ReactJS (Tooling)
Company Overview: Warner Bros Discovery is a global leader in entertainment, bringing together beloved brands like Warner Bros, HBO, DC Comics, and Discovery Channel under one roof. As we continue to innovate and redefine the future of entertainment, we are seeking a talented Front End Developer to join our Labs Team.
Position Overview: As a Front End Developer at Warner Bros Discovery, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience on our Labs platform that supports feature flags and experimentation. The ideal candidate is passionate about cutting-edge web technologies, possesses strong expertise in React, and has experience working with UI libraries.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain interactive web applications using React.js, JSX, Material UI, and TypeScript.
Collaborate closely with product managers, and back end developers to create internal tooling user interfaces.
Implement reusable components and libraries to streamline development.
Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in front end development, and advocate for their adoption within the team.
As appropriate write component and unit tests or create Cucumber features with Storybook and Cypress.
Troubleshoot and debug issues reported by QA or end users and propose effective solutions in a timely manner.
This position will report into a New Year based SE team and the successful candidate should be available three times a week between 9:30pm-12:00am IST for meetings, code reviews and agile ceremonies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of professional experience in front end development, with a strong focus on React.js.
Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and related web technologies. Experience working with UI libraries such as Material-UI, Ant Design, or Bootstrap.
Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility issues.
Experience with version control systems such as Git. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities. Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
Experience with server-side development and RESTful APIs is a plus.
