Your New Role...

Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products Inc. seeks a Manager, Franchise Management & Marketing department. The Manager is a member of the Global Franchise Management & Marketing team, responsible for supporting WBCP’s Classic Animation. This team is responsible for the global management of the franchises within Consumer Products which includes developing and driving the CP Global Franchise Plan and marketing activations.

The Manager, Franchise Management & Marketing for the Classic Animation team will lead the Tom and Jerry and Scooby Doo franchises while providing support across Looney Tunes and other classic animation properties. They are responsible for managing the day-to-day business, including marketing approvals, support the creation of annual franchise plans, marketing plans and marketing materials for Tom and Jerry and Scooby Doo franchises. They will also support the Director across other Classic Animation franchise needs, including management of the CP digital marketing efforts and global franchise activations.

The position requires a deep knowledge of the Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, and Scooby Doo library of stories as well as strong written and verbal communication and liaising with internal and external parties, including but not limited to other WBDGCP departments (Category, Retail Business Development, Creative, Finance, Legal, Insights, Themed Entertainment, Digital, etc.) WBD Divisions (Franchise Development, Theatrical, Home Ent., WBIE, WBA, CN, etc), vendors, colleagues around the world, etc.

Your role accountabilities...

  • Grow Tom and Jerry and Scooby-Doo CP business by assisting in the development and communication of annual CP franchise plans

  • Lead the development and execution of Franchise activation plans, sales tools, and brand guidelines

  • Manage the day-to-day review/approvals of all Tom and Jerry and Scooby Doo marketing submissions for the core business, and support on other Classic Animation submissions as needed/assigned

  • Assist in the development of supporting materials and communication tools for internal and external stakeholders as needed

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a reliable and timely flow of information and submission materials - particularly the Animation Global Franchise Development team

  • Provide brand guidance to licensees and internal WBDGCP in the development of their franchise programs

  • Project-manage external agencies in the development of franchise tools

  • Oversee day to day management of CP digital marketing efforts across portfolio

  • Solicit industry and competitive trend information from Sales/Retail, Category, Creative/Product Development and Global Insights teams as well as external data sources

  • Partner with international offices to drive regional implementation of strategies and franchise activations

  • Other projects and duties may be assigned dependent on business development and needs

Qualifications & Experience...

  • Minimum 3-5 years work experience in a related field required

  • Brand and/or Franchise management experience required

  • Entertainment or licensed consumer products experience is strongly preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree with coursework in business/marketing strongly preferred

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and presentation software programs required

  • Effective and proven management and interpersonal skills are critical

  • Must have sound understanding of strategy development, marketing principles and brand management

  • Strong knowledge of digital platforms and media marketing tools

  • Must have a clear understanding of the dynamics and needs of licensing

  • Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills (design and verbal)

  • Knowledge of file set-up, maintenance and filing procedures

  • Knowledge of basic math, spelling, grammar, punctuation

  • Fluent command of the English language required; second language is a plus.

  • Must be well organized with effective and proven planning and follow-through skills

  • Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions

  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons on all levels, in person, written, via phone, video conference, etc.

  • Must have the ability to organize and schedule work effectively

  • Must have the ability to work well under time constraints

  • Must be able to handle multiple projects and prioritize assignments

  • Must have the ability to effectively meet critical deadlines

  • Must be a team player

  • Management has the right to add or change duties and job requirements at any time

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $72,240.00 - $134,160.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
